Home Theater FAQ

Q: My Media Center Remote doesn’t work at all.

A: The batteries might be weak, dead, or installed incorrectly. If the batteries are weak, the backlighting will also be weak on the device mode buttons.

Q:My cursor drifts off of the screen

A: Generally speaking cursor drift can be corrected by forcing the gyroscope to recalibrate, the steps follow:

  1. Remove and re-install the batteries to reset the device.
  2. Set the remote on a steady surface (table top).
  3. Double click the Gyro activate button (this will keep the gyro on). The cursor will start to drift but should stop within 7 to 10 seconds.

Q:I have tried all so the codes in the manual, but none seem to control the device.

A: This generally occurs on newer TV's, satellite boxes and other components. Gyration tries to keep up to date with the remote codes but it is not always possible as component manufacturers add and change functionality. If this is the case you will have to program the remote using the learning techniques in the manual.
