Movea Moves into Milpitas’ McCarthy Ranch, Adds to Senior Leadership Team
Milpitas, CA April 28, 2008 – Movea, Inc., the US subsidiary of Movea SA, has rapidly expanded since the company’s formation in January, moving into a new office and recruiting senior executives to support its growth. Movea, Inc. today moved into a 14,300 square foot office and development lab space in Milpitas’ McCarthy Ranch technology center in the heart of Silicon Valley. The new headquarters houses the growing U.S. employee roster and a 1,200 square foot technology development lab for the production of Movea, Inc.’s human motion-sensing technologies and products, inherited from the acquisition of Gyration, Inc.
Movea Inc.’s new General Manager and Executive Vice President, Bryan Hoadley, acquired facilities that will accommodate US operations, technology development, sales, marketing, web order fulfillment and customer support, as well as allow for employee growth. Beyond the Milpitas facilities, Movea SA has its corporate headquarters and employs an industry leading research team and development lab in Grenoble, France.
“Since our inception in January, our immediate focus has been to bring in the best talent available and find a new Silicon Valley HQ to house our expanding technology operations,” said Bryan. “We look forward to adding to our team and being part of the Milpitas business community.”
In addition to the new move, Movea also broadened its leadership team with several recent senior executive hires. Tom Atkinson joins as the new Director of North America Sales, Retail & OEM. Tom brings a deep knowledge of the retail and distribution consumer electronics channels and mobile device industry to Movea from his sales and marketing positions at Mobility Electronics, Cingular Wireless and PacBell/SBC. Michael Nathan also joins as Director, North America Sales, Education, Healthcare & OEM. Michael brings extensive experience in the Education & OEM markets from his former roles at Apple Computer, Inc., NEC and Reunion.com.
